Terms & conditions
This site is operated by BarkingMad Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14950754), registered office 11 Penda Way, Sandbach, England, CW11 1GS. “Discount Equine” is a trading name of that company. Contact us at hello@discountequine.co.uk.
These terms apply to everything you buy from us. Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer. Last updated 30 August 2026.
Placing an order
Adding something to your basket is not an offer we have accepted. When you pay, you are offering to buy — the contract is formed when we email you to confirm the order has been dispatched, not when you pay and not when you get the order acknowledgement.
If we cannot fulfil an order — the stock has gone, or a price was listed incorrectly — we will tell you and refund you in full. We reserve the right to decline an order.
You must be at least 18 and using a payment method you are entitled to use.
Prices, and what “RRP” means
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Delivery is shown separately before you pay.
Where we show a saving, it is against the manufacturer's recommended retail price for that product — the price the brand publishes, not a price we invented or previously charged. Our Outlet advertises “up to 50% off RRP”; the depth of discount varies by product and the individual saving is always shown on the item.
We try hard to keep prices and stock accurate, but this is a live catalogue fed by our suppliers. If an obvious error means we have priced something wrongly, we will contact you before dispatch and you can confirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
Delivery
Delivery is £3.95, or free on orders over £75 — one rate for everything we sell. Most orders arrive in 2–4 working days; some items take about 5 days. Every item carries an estimated delivery date on the product page, in your basket and at checkout, so you know before you pay. An order may arrive in more than one parcel, and you are only ever charged one delivery fee.
Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
Full detail is on our delivery & returns page.
Cancelling your order
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you may cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, for any reason, and you then have a further 14 days to send them back. Tell us at hello@discountequine.co.uk before returning anything so we can give you the right address.
Items must come back unused, unwashed and in their original condition with tags attached. We may reduce your refund to reflect any loss in value from handling beyond what you would do in a shop.
Return postage is at your cost when you have simply changed your mind. We pay it when the item is faulty or we sent the wrong thing. We recommend a tracked service — until it reaches us, it is your responsibility.
We refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back, to the payment method you used. That includes the standard outbound delivery charge; if you chose a more expensive service we refund the standard rate only.
The right to cancel does not apply to goods made to your specification or personalised, or to sealed goods unsuitable for return on hygiene grounds once unsealed — which includes bits, once unsealed or tried.
If something is faulty
This is separate from changing your mind, and it is a stronger right. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not:
- Within 30 days you can reject them and get a full refund.
- Up to six months we will repair or replace; if that fails you can claim a refund, and the fault is assumed to have been there from the start unless we can show otherwise.
- Beyond six months the same rights apply, but you may need to show the fault was present at delivery.
We pay return postage on faulty or incorrectly supplied items.
Gift cards
Gift cards are delivered by email and can be spent on anything we sell. They are valid for 24 months from purchase, can be used across several orders until the balance runs out, and cannot be exchanged for cash. If your order comes to more than the balance you pay the difference by card. We are not able to replace a card code that has been shared with someone else and spent.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access. We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently.
Our liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, or for business losses — these terms cover consumer use only.
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Product images, descriptions and specifications come from the manufacturer. Colours vary between screens. Sizing guidance is a guide, not a guarantee of fit.
General
We may change these terms; the version on the site when you order is the version that applies to that order. If any part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your own courts.
If you are unhappy with something, email hello@discountequine.co.uk — we would much rather sort it out directly.
